Once the waste has been collected is has to be transported to be treated. Whether this treatment is landfilling, crushing or composting some kind of transportation is always involved. When designing waste collection points it is good to know what kind of waste transportation equipment will be used to take the waste away. If the transfer of the waste from the waste collection point to the transportation vehicle is an overly long and arduous task the waste collection fees are generally raised which can eventually result in significant additional costs.
It is also noteworthy to keep in mind that the responsibility of the waste rests with the producer, even after it has been collected from the premises.
